EKA representatives participated in the EntreUnity Workshop on Innovation Ecosystem Mapping
On August 25, 2022, EKA representatives – Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation Prof. Jelena Titko and Head of EKA Business Incubator Prof. Vita Zarina – participated in the EntreUnity Workshop on Innovation Ecosystem Mapping organized by the project’s associate partner, the University of Manchester which is the full partner the EntreUnity Consortium.
EntreUnity is a network of aspiring entrepreneurial universities that share a passion and a responsibility to tackle global food security, ageing populations and climate change by educating and training the next generation of agri-food, health and green-tech students in entrepreneurship and leadership. The network also contributes to the transfer of knowledge, know-how and innovation processes to companies and public actors. (for details, see https://eit-hei.eu/projects/entreunity/).
The workshop was conducted by Uri Gafni - an entrepreneur and operator, with great experience in supporting startups and prominent academic institutions in Israel, including the Ben Gurion University, IDC Herzliya, Technion, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and others.
During the workshop, participants have got a knowledge and practical experience, such as:
- Mapping an innovation ecosystem
- Mapping the NEEDS and OFFERS of stakeholders in a region
- Defining goals and key performance indicators for an organization
- Building a strategy, roadmap & execution plan
The EIT’s HEI Initiative: Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education is a joint EIT Community activity coordinated by EIT RawMaterials. The initiative is a key objective for the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) as part of its new strategy, the EIT Strategic Innovation Agenda 2021−2027. The initiative aims to support higher education institutions with expertise and coaching, access to the EIT innovation ecosystem, and funding, enabling them to develop innovation action plans complementing the needs of individual higher education institutions.
