Participation in Horizon4Poland′23 event
From November 21 to 22, Kaspars Steinbergs, project manager of the scientific institution of the EKA University of Applied Sciences, participated in the event "Horizon4Poland′23," organized by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology′s (EIT) HEI project Network IQ Alliance partner "Łukasiewicz - Institute of Organization and Management in Industry."
Horizon4Poland′23 is a matchmaking event addressed to business and the scientific industries. The event is a unique chance to network between companies and R&D institutions seeking for partners and projects to become a part of Horizon Europe Programme.
During the event, K. Steinbergs participated in several activities related to the Network IQ Alliance project and various EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KIC). At its opening, Daria Gołębiowska-Tataj, the author of the idea for the Network IQ Alliance project, spoke with the address "Partnership is the New Leadership." Later K. Steinbergs participated in the seminar "Value-Based Healthcare: How Can We Make It Happen?" which was co-organized by EIT Health. On the second day of the event, a speed dating activity took place, during which K. Steinbergs met with representatives fromLazarski University, Poznański Instytut Technologiczny – Łukasiewicz, TeraGlobus UAB, and Centrum Transferu Technologii – Innovations Sp. z o.o. Cooperation talks about the Erasmus+ agreement and EKA′s potential involvement in two Horizon projects were initiated during these meetings.
"Network IQ Alliance", of which EKA is also a partner, is one of the projects of the Higher Education Initiative (HEI) program of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). Strengthening the innovation capacity of higher education is one of the main priorities of the EIT in its new strategy "EIT Strategic Innovation Program 2021–2027.". It aims to support higher education institutions with knowledge and training, as well as access to the EIT′s innovation ecosystem and funding, enabling them to develop innovation action plans that complement their individual needs.
