UXship project EKA team members continue working despite the limitations
Despite the situation caused by COVID-19, the work within the international project “Accelerating ICT students′ start-up development competence via interdisciplinary modular courses in the HEI curricula” (UXiship) continues. In April 2020, online EKA project team meeting took place in Moodle.
The meeting was attended by EKA academic and administrative staff members, who will engaged into project activities:
- Assistant Professor Zane Veidenberga – project administrator;
- Professor - Inga Šīna, project researcher and trainer, EKA director of the Bachelor study “Marketing” and Master study programme “Business Management”
- Assistant Professor Nataļja Verina – project researcher and trainer, EKA director of the Bachelor study programme “Management”
- Professor Vita Zariņa – project researcher and trainer, EKA director of the Bachelor study programme “Business Economics”
- Assistant Professor Jeļena Budanceva – project researcher and trainer, EKA director of the Bachelor study programme “Cultural Management”
- Assistant Professor Ksenija Ijevļeva – project researcher and trainer

The development of the programme for “train the trainer” visits was on the agenda. It was agreed during the meeting that all EKA training staff members involved in the UXIship project will prepare their training proposals identifying the topic (entrepreneurial soft skills, e.g. communication, team work, HRM, budget planning, project management, problem-solving, creativity, critical thinking, quality control, independent learning etc. skills) they would like to work on (individually or in a team) and suggested teaching and learning methods.
The final decision regarding the training event in August 2020 has been postponed till June 2020, when there might be more information about opened borders and travelling opportunities in August 2020. If it is not possible to provide face-to-face training, then online training options will be discussed.
UXiship is financed and supported by the ERASMUS+ programme of the European Union Capacity building in the field of higher education (Project ref. No. 609870-EPP-1-2019-DE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP).
