EKA deliver lectures to Russian and Kazakh partners
Within the framework of the international project “Accelerating ICT students′ start-up development competence via interdisciplinary modular courses in the HEI curricula” (UXiship), representatives of EKA University of Applied Sciences delivered several lectures on topics related to business, entrepreneurship and project management:
March 31, 2021 – “Contemporary business models”
April 4, 2021 – “Branding strategies”
April 6, 2021 – “Corporate Social Responsibility”
April 7, 2021 – “IT Project Management”
The lecture on Contemporary business models was presented by lecturer, PhD. candid. Edgars Čerkovskis for participants from the Republic of Kazakhstan. Time is a non-renewable and very expensive resource for any person, especially for an entrepreneur. Professors and lecturers of EKA value the time of the audience, which they invest in attending the lecture, so the main goal of the mentioned above lecture was not just the new knowledge from European tutor, but the possibility practically to use the knowledge and experience of European teaching staff received.
The lecture on Branding Strategies was presented by Assistant Professor, Dr.oec Ksenija Ijevļeva (for participants from the Kazan National Research University (named after Tupolev). Developing a stronger brand is the most important task for any entrepreneur. The ability to develop your brand in accordance with national and international practices increases the competitiveness of any entrepreneur. Therefore, the Asst., Prof., Iejvleva task was to familiarize the listener with the core European principles of branding strategies.
The lecture on Corporate Social Responsibility was presented by Professor Dr.oec Tatjana Tambovceva for participants from the - Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. Sharing the knowledge in general and particularly in regards modern approaches of self-regulating business model that helps a company be socially accountable—to itself, its stakeholders, and the public is one of the core principles in Capacity Building of Higher Education. Therefore, Professor, Dr.oec Tatjana Tambovceva has not just presented the topic, but were actively involved in the interesting discussion with the participants.
The lecture on IT Project Management was presented by Professor Dr.oec Tatjana Tambovceva for participants from the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and Kazan National Research University (named after Tupolev). Participants get acknowledged, that introducing any business idea is a complicated but definitely understandable part of working on an IT project. However, parts in regards planning and implementing usually causes a lot of problems. Project management in IT industry allows all the details and stakeholders to be taken into account and puts the importance of planning on the same level as implementation itself.
